Is expiation obligatory upon the mother who caused her daughter's death as a result of the child falling into hot water after the mother quickly closed the door on her?

If the mother inadvertently causes her daughter's death due to her action, she is liable for the expiation of accidental killing: freeing a believing slave. If none is found, then fasting for two consecutive months, and paying the blood money to the daughter's heirs, unless they forgive her. The blood money is incumbent upon the 'aqilah (male agnates), and the mother who caused the death inherits nothing from the blood money. However, if the mother was not the cause, then there is no obligation upon her.
