Liberalism is a capitalist doctrine that advocates for absolute freedom, both economically and politically. Politically, it emphasizes accepting the ideas and actions of others, provided there is reciprocity, and it relies on utilitarian and rational philosophies. Collectively, it is a political system that separates religion from the state, based on ideological, partisan, and trade union pluralism through a democratic parliamentary system with its three branches of power, while guaranteeing individual and religious freedom. However, liberals often act against freedom due to liberalism's association with colonialism. Economically, economic liberalism draws its origin from the natural school of thought and advocates for non-intervention of the state in the economic system. Among its most prominent theorists are Adam Smith, Malthus, Ricardo, and John Stuart Mill.
