Why do Muslims nowadays limit themselves to the interpretations of the four imams, and study their sayings more than the interpretations of the Companions, and the sayings of the Companions like Abu Bakr, Ibn Abbas, and Omar ibn al-Khattab are not mentioned, even though the Companions are more deserving of being followed and more knowledgeable in the religion of Allah?

Studying the jurisprudence of the Four Imams does not mean preferring them over the Companions; rather, it is an extension of the Companions' jurisprudence. The reason for relying on it is due to its comprehensiveness, codification, and meticulous organization, which facilitated its transmission. The jurisprudence of the Companions is scattered and dispersed in the tomes of books and was not compiled comprehensively, though recent attempts have been made to collect the jurisprudence of the great Companions.
