What is the ruling on a wife lying to her husband sometimes, fearing his anger and to preserve the continuation of the marital life, especially since she leaves her father's house with his permission?
We hope there is no harm upon you for lying to your husband, given his situation as you described, and because it does not entail the loss of any of his rights. This falls under the dispensations mentioned in the of Umm Kulthum bint 'Uqbah (may Allah be pleased with her), that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) permitted lying in three situations, one of which is a man speaking to his wife and a woman speaking to her husband. It is better to use equivocation (tawriyah) and allusions (ma'areedh) instead of outright lying. You must adhere to the time your husband sets for your return, because obeying him is obligatory.
