Does allocating a portion of one's monthly salary to charity count as a vow?

The wording mentioned is not considered a vow (nadhr) and nothing is binding from it, because a vow is only established by a wording that indicates commitment, such as "Lillahi alayya kadha (I owe to Allah such and such)" or "Alayya nadhr kadha (I have a vow of such and such)." It is commendable for a Muslim, if he resolves to do a good deed, to hasten to implement it, based on the words of Allah Almighty: "So race to all that is good."
