Is it permissible, Islamically, to demand financial compensation amounting to one million Riyals for damages resulting from a postal employee's manipulation of an identity card and its use in purchasing a large quantity of flour?

The post office employee's action of opening the envelope, extracting the card, and giving it to another person to exploit it constitutes a breach of trust. He and the person who exploited the card must repent to Allah. The person who exploited the card must return the money and profit he took to the owners of the goods that were defrauded, because they are the ones who suffered financial harm from this fraud, not the cardholder.
