1. The person mentioned must perform sincere repentance ( Nasuh), which involves abstaining from the sin, regretting it, and resolving not to return to it.
2. There is no expiation for the perpetrator of zina (fornication/adultery) except repentance. Both he and his sister should increase their good deeds.
3. If penetration did not occur, this is not considered zina that necessitates the prescribed punishment (Hadd), even though it is a grave sin.
4. The perpetrator of the sin must conceal his own sin and avoid being alone or mingling with his sister. The sister must also repent and conceal her sin.
