What is the ruling on rejecting a suitor due to his poverty and lack of tribal affiliation, despite the fiancée's approval and desire to marry him?

The guardian of the girl must marry her off if a suitable man of religion and good character proposes to her; otherwise, widespread discord and corruption will ensue. The considered suitability is piety, and it is permissible to take into account other matters such as wealth and social status. If the girl agrees to the suitable man and her guardian prevents her, she may refer the matter to the judge to marry her off. The girl should know that all destinies are decreed, and what Allah has willed will come to pass, for He knows best what is good for His servant.
