Is it sufficient to cover with beads the image of a cross, or the image of an animal with a soul, found on clothing?

It is sufficient to obliterate the cross or the image and remove its features by sewing over it with beads or the like. It is stated in the fatwas of the Permanent Committee: "It is disliked to pray on it unless the image of the cross is obliterated with something that conceals its form, such as dye, sewing, or other means." Sheikh Abdul Rahman bin Suhaim said: "If they are images of living beings, they can be obliterated or their features changed, such as by writing on them with special fabric pens, or by sewing something that conceals the features of the image."
