What is the ruling on creating manga series (illustrated stories) to defend Islam and improve its image, while including drawings of cartoon characters, fictional stories, and humorous situations?

If the Sharia-compliant controls are available, there is no harm in writing comic stories to spread Islam and improve its image; rather, the doer will be rewarded. Drawing and illustrating are permissible if they adhere to the controls of Sharia for an overriding benefit. Fictional stories that include entertainment and amusement are also permissible for this purpose.
