If the -compliant controls are available, there is no harm in writing comic stories to spread Islam and improve its image; rather, the doer will be rewarded. Drawing and illustrating are permissible if they adhere to the controls of Sharia for an overriding benefit. Fictional stories that include entertainment and amusement are also permissible for this purpose.
