Is it permissible for a Muslim to say: "Ya Ali" out of love for the beloved Caliph, and not for polytheism or following the Rafidah?

Calling upon the dead with the intention of seeking aid (istighathah), requesting benefit, or averting harm is polytheism (shirk). However, if it is done with the intention of seeking intercession (tawassul), it is an innovation (bid‘ah). As for calling upon them for lamentation (nudbah) by mentioning their virtues and what has occurred due to their loss, it is permissible if it is done truthfully and rightfully. This is a metaphorical, not a real, invocation, where the call deviates from its original meaning for other rhetorical purposes understood from the context.
