How can a newly committed sister maintain her commitment?

To maintain commitment to the religion, the following should be done:

1. Praising and thanking Allah for the blessing of guidance, as Allah Almighty says: (And [remember] when your Lord proclaimed, "If you are grateful, I will surely increase you [in favor]; but if you deny, indeed, My punishment is severe.") 2. Supplicating to Allah for steadfastness in commitment, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, frequently said: "O Changer of hearts, make my heart firm upon Your religion." 3. Maintaining obligations and avoiding prohibitions. 4. Choosing righteous companions and staying away from bad company, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "A man is upon the religion of his friend, so let one of you look at whom he befriends." 5. Increasing the recitation of the Quran and beneficial books, listening to useful audio recordings, and attending gatherings of knowledge and lectures.
