Is it Islamically permissible for the children of a tenant to inherit the leased property itself, thereby depriving the legal heirs of their right to dispose of their property? What is the ruling on the tenant's son who lives in the apartment after his father's death and refuses to return it to its owners, knowing that it was taken by force, and negotiates with them for a large sum to return it? Is it forbidden to supplicate against him for destruction and revenge?

The aforementioned contract is religiously void. The one in possession of the apartment must hand it over to you without any compensation; otherwise, he is an oppressor. The oppressed is permitted to supplicate against the oppressor without transgressing, though patience is better. It is preferable to seek the mediation of people of virtue and religious standing to resolve the issue and return the property to you, while clarifying the impermissibility of him preventing you from disposing of your property.
