Is it permissible to comb the beard if some consider it to be altering the creation of Allah?

Combing the beard has no basis in Islamic law that prohibits it. Rather, it is part of the complete cleanliness that the Shari'ah encourages. Imam Al-Bukhari stated in his Sahih: "Chapter: Combing and starting from the right." Ibn Battal explained that tarjil (combing) is the act of combing and oiling the hair. Furthermore, the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, gestured to a man with disheveled hair and beard to tidy his hair and beard, explaining that this is better than for one of you to come with a disheveled head, like a devil. This indicates an encouragement to comb the hair and beard and a dislike for neglecting them.
