Is the percentage that an employee receives, which sometimes exceeds one million pounds, from revenues resulting from an increase in students' expenses that he himself approved, considered lawful (halal) or unlawful (haram) money?

The university is permitted to give a percentage of the total revenue to the questioner if the administration agrees, based on the opinion of those who validate considering a percentage of the revenue as a fee, if the ambiguity does not prevent delivery, as mentioned by Ibn Qudamah. As for the students, what matters for the permissibility of the wage is mutual consent, and there is no specific limit beyond which an increase is prohibited. However, the public interest and the circumstances of the students should be considered, contenting oneself with the customary wage, and avoiding selfishness, following the example of the Prophet (peace be upon him) who said: "Be lenient, and leniency will be shown to you," which encourages forgiveness and ease in dealings.
