Yellowish and brownish discharges are considered menses during the accustomed period. They are not considered menses outside the accustomed period unless connected to blood. So, if a woman sees them after the cessation of blood and after performing ghusl during her accustomed days, they are menses. However, if that occurs outside her accustomed days, they are not considered menses. She must make up for the days of fasting she missed due to menstruation or her mistaken belief that the yellowish discharge was menses, and make up for the prayers she missed on the days when the yellowish discharge was not considered menses.
