Is it permissible to eat meals prepared with utensils previously used to prepare pork?

If you know that the utensils are used in preparing pork, and you are not certain that they have been purified by washing, then it is not permissible for you to eat from them. However, if you know they have been purified, it is permissible to eat from them if there are no restaurants free from forbidden items. If there are restaurants free from forbidden items, then it is disliked to eat what has been prepared in utensils used for pork, even if they have been washed, due due to revulsion. Scholars have explained that the noble Hadith which permits using the utensils of the People of the Book after washing is specific to utensils that have not been used for impurities. As for those that have been used for impurities, their use is disliked even after washing, due to revulsion.
