Who are the "al-Abrar" (the righteous/pious) mentioned in the verse "and make us die with the Abrar" in Surah Al Imran?

The Abrar (the Pious/Righteous) are those who are expansive in their obedience to Allah, who have shown piety to Allah through their obedience and service to His religion, until they attained His pleasure. It is also said that they are the Prophets, the righteous, or the believers who are truthful in their faith and obedient to their Lord. Wishing to meet Allah "with the Abrar" instead of "as Abrar" is an act of humility and submission. Allah has mentioned the state of the Abrar in the Hereafter and the eternal bliss He has prepared for them in verses, including: "Indeed, the Abrar will drink from a cup whose mixture is of Kafur" [Al-Insan: 5] and "Indeed, the Abrar will be in delight" [Al-Infitar: 13]. The Abrar are contrasted with the Fujjar (the Wicked/Transgressors), and Allah has mentioned their ultimate destiny in the Hereafter: "And indeed, the Fujjar will be in a blazing Hellfire" [Al-Infitar: 14].
