What is the ruling on the university degree I obtained in law, and my current job as an administrative officer in charge of disputes in a government institution, and what is the ruling on the salary I receive? And does the ruling differ if I change my position to another administrative job in the same institution?

A university degree does not carry a ruling in itself; rather, the ruling pertains to the work performed with it. If your work in an institution involves preparing files for illegitimate disputes, such as those related to usury (riba) and illegal taxes (mukus), then it is forbidden, according to the Almighty's saying: "And do not be an advocate for the deceitful." However, if the disputes are in truth (based on حق), then there is no harm in it. The salary becomes forbidden if the majority of your work is in prohibited cases, and permissible if it is in legitimate cases. Changing your job to an administrative role that has no connection to disputes is a good solution, provided that the institution's work is permissible.
