What is the standing of the Holy Quran among the divine books?

If what is meant by the heavenly books existing today is those that are distorted and altered, as Allah Almighty has clarified. But if what is meant by them is what they were before the distortion, then they are the word of Allah, but the Qur'an came abrogating and superseding them, which makes it superior to them. This is what many scholars have stated.
