What is the ruling on working in a slaughterhouse in France that does not follow the Islamic method of slaughter?

1 min readAlso available in العربية

It is obligatory to forbid evil, combat it, and not be content with it, as Allah Almighty says: (And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression), and as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: (Whoever among you sees an evil, let him change it with his hand...).

Slaughtering in a way that is not in accordance with Islamic law is forbidden. It is not permissible for a Muslim to do it or to assist in it through buying or selling, because Allah and His Messenger have forbidden the sale of carrion. And anything that has not been slaughtered lawfully is considered carrion.
