Is it permissible to work in Christian slaughterhouses?

The majority of scholars are of the opinion that it is forbidden for a Muslim to work as a servant for a disbeliever, due to the humiliation of Muslims and the glorification of disbelievers inherent in it, and in accordance with the Almighty's saying: "And never will Allah grant to the disbelievers a way [to triumph] over the believers." As for other permissible jobs, such as butchery, there is no objection to them, so long as the slaughter is done according to Islamic law; otherwise, it is not permissible to work in them.
