What are the supplications a Muslim should make to be granted wisdom and good conduct?

The comprehensive supplications of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, include the rectitude of affairs, such as asking Allah for all good and seeking refuge in Him from all evil, and the supplication: (Our Lord, give us in this world [that which is] good and in the Hereafter [that which is] good and protect us from the punishment of the Fire), and (O Allah, rectify for me my religion which is the عصمة [safeguard] of my affairs, and rectify for me my worldly life in which is my livelihood). Likewise, the supplication: (O Allah, guide me and make me steadfast) or (O Allah, I ask You for guidance and steadfastness) includes this meaning; for steadfastness (السداد) is hitting the mark in speech and action, and it is the rectitude of affairs and intention therein.
