Is it permissible to perform tayammum for intercourse if ritual bathing (ghusl) after menstruation is not possible?

If a woman becomes pure from her menstruation but is unable to perform ghusl, it is permissible for her husband to have intercourse with her after she performs tayammum. This is the view of the majority of the imams.
