How sound is the Hadith: "O Allah, You created me and You guide me, and You feed me and You water me, and You cause me to die and You bring me to life"?
This Hadith was narrated by Al-Tabarani in "Al-Awsat" with the following wording: From Al-Hasan, who said: Samurah ibn Jundub said: Shall I not narrate to you a Hadith that I heard many times from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and many times from Abu Bakr, and many times from Umar? I said: Yes. He said: «Whoever says, when he wakes up in the morning and when he reaches the evening: ‘O Allah, You created me, and You guide me, and You feed me, and You give me drink, and You cause me to die, and You bring me to life,’ Allah will grant him whatever he asks for.»
Al-Haythami and Al-Mundhiri judged its chain of narration to be hasan (good).
