What should I do to be released from my oath after having sworn several times not to speak to a friend, then sworn not to fast the three days required of me as expiation for that oath, and I do not want the sin of severing ties with my Muslim brother?

A Muslim's abandonment of his brother for more than three days is not permissible, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "It is not lawful for a Muslim to abandon his brother for more than three days." The estrangement must be ended, and the oath atoned for. Its expiation is feeding ten poor people, or clothing them, or freeing a slave. If you are unable, then fast for three days. The expiation is not repeated with the repetition of the oath unless you swear an oath after having already performed the expiation. If the oath was not to fast at all, meaning not to expiate at all, then your first expiation obligates you to a second expiation. However, if the oath was only not to expiate by fasting, then a second expiation is not obligatory upon you unless you have expiated by fasting.
