Would a person be considered a severer of kinship ties if his long working hours prevented him from maintaining them?

Maintaining kinship ties is obligatory, and severing them is among the great sins. If a Muslim is busy and unable to visit, they can maintain ties by making phone calls, sending gifts, or messages, as all of these fulfill the obligation of maintaining kinship.
