Is it permissible to play horror and war games on the computer if they do not offend Islam?

Horror games often contain violence, criminality, deviant ideas, and Sharia-prohibited elements that affect users. As for war games, there is no harm in them if they include commendable military meanings such as patience, sacrifice, and planning, and are free from Sharia-prohibited elements. In general, electronic games are not permissible unless they are free from prohibitions and meet Sharia-compliant controls.
