Is kohl made from the stones of the mountain that saw Allah Almighty during the encounter with Moses (peace be upon him)?

The statement that kohl is made from the mountain where the Lord -the Mighty and Exalted- manifested Himself, namely Mount Sinai, is an evident falsehood. This has not been authentically reported from the Prophet (peace be upon him), and reality testifies to that, as kohl is not made from the stones of this mountain. Nor is it correct to say that the mountain "saw" Allah, because a mountain does not see, and there is no text that supports this. The Quranic text states: ﴿So when his Lord manifested His glory to the mountain, He made it crumble to dust, and Moses fell down unconscious.﴾ [Al-A'raf: 143].
