Will Allah answer a wife's prayer for conception even if her husband is negligent in prayer and worship?
You have done well in resorting to supplication (du'a), seeking forgiveness (istighfar), and giving charity (sadaqah). There is no impediment to the supplication being answered even if the husband does not supplicate, for Allah answered the supplications of Zechariah and Abraham, peace be upon them, and no mention was made of their wives participating in the supplication. One must be patient with supplication and avoid hastiness, for in the Hadith: "The supplication of anyone of you is granted as long as he does not supplicate for a sin or for cutting off the ties of kinship, and as long as he does not hasten." Your husband must also maintain his prayers, for they are among the greatest pillars of Islam and means for fulfilling needs, as Allah Almighty says: "And seek assistance through patience and prayer." Continue to encourage him to pray and supplicate for his guidance.
