What is the ruling regarding a wife remaining with her husband when she is subjected to domestic violence, humiliation, and constant family interference, knowing that the husband refuses to divorce and wants to preserve his family, and that the wife is exhausted by the current situation and is contemplating divorce?

1. An 'Urfi marriage is invalid if conducted without the guardian's consent, and deficient if it lacks public announcement. The common form of it, conducted without the knowledge of the family, is Islamically invalid.

2. Among the wife's rights are kind treatment, respect, and not being humiliated. It is impermissible for the husband to humiliate his wife by bringing up her past after having accepted her as a wife and the mother of his children.
