Is it obligatory to remove the visible iron stabilizer from the body of a deceased person who passed away after a surgical operation, so that he is not buried with it, or should it be left in his foot to avoid harming him?

We do not see it permissible to remove iron from the deceased, because it is pure (tahir), and removing it involves harming the corpse if it is firmly fixed, and it might lead to a form of mutilation. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Breaking the bone of a dead person is like breaking it when he is alive." The jurists have stipulated that a pure bone used to mend the bone of a dead person should not be removed, and the washer (ghasil) should be gentle with the deceased in all matters.
