How can one get rid of the state of being distant from God and abandoning prayer after having been diligent in observing it, reciting the Qur'an, and performing night prayers?

Your laziness concerning prayer and reading the Quran is from Satan, who misleads the Muslim step by step, as Allah the Almighty said: (O you who have believed, do not follow the footsteps of Satan). For one sin leads to another, and one act of obedience leads to another. A good deed brings light to the face, illumination to the heart, abundance in provision, strength to the body, and love in the hearts of people. A bad deed brings darkness to the face, gloom to the heart, deficiency in provision, and hatred in the hearts of people. Rectify yourself and do not surrender to Satan.
