Is this hadith authentic, and is it acted upon: "Glorify God one hundred glorifications, for they will be counted for you as one hundred slaves from the descendants of Isma'il whom you set free. And praise God one hundred praises, for they will be counted for you as one hundred saddled and bridled horses that you load upon in the way of God. And magnify God one hundred magnifications, for they will be counted for you as one hundred accepted and garlanded sacrificial camels. And declare there is no god but God one hundred declarations"?

A group of scholars, such as Al-Mundhiri, Al-Haythami, and Al-Albani, deemed this hadith to be hasan (good). We do not know that Al-Albani authenticated it as sahih (sound), as Al-Mundhiri said about it: “Reported by Ahmad with a good chain of transmission.” Al-Haythami said: “Reported by Ahmad and Al-Tabarani in Al-Kabeer and Al-Awsat, and their chains of transmission are good.” Sheikh Shu'ayb Al-Arna'ut, however, weakened it in his verification of Al-Musnad due to the weakness of Abu Salih. Then Al-Albani revised his view and deemed the hadith hasan, preferring that Abu Salih is Dhakwan Al-Samman. This view may be supported by what Abu Dawud and Ibn Majah narrated from Umm Hani’ that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Say 'Allahu Akbar' (Allah is the Greatest) one hundred times, and 'Al-hamdulillah' (All praise is due to Allah) one hundred times, and 'Subhanallah' (Glory be to Allah) one hundred times, is better than one hundred bridled and saddled horses in the path of Allah, and better than one hundred camels, and better than one hundred slaves."

In addition to this, there are many virtues of these words (phrases of remembrance) established in other hadiths. Muslim reported in his Sahih that the most beloved words to Allah are four: "Subhanallah, Al-hamdulillah, La ilaha illallah, and Allahu Akbar." And that: "To say: Subhanallah, Al-hamdulillah, La ilaha illallah, and Allahu Akbar is dearer to me than anything over which the sun rises." And that: "There is no man on earth who says: La ilaha illallah, Allahu Akbar, Subhanallah, Al-hamdulillah, and La hawla wa la quwwata illa billah (There is no might or power except with Allah), except that his sins will be forgiven, even if they were more than the foam of the sea." And that: "Indeed, Allah has chosen four words from speech: Subhanallah, Al-hamdulillah, La ilaha illallah, and Allahu Akbar. Whoever says Subhanallah, twenty good deeds will be written for him, and twenty bad deeds will be removed from him. And whoever says Allahu Akbar, likewise. And whoever says La ilaha illallah, likewise. And whoever says Al-hamdulillah Rabbil 'Alamin (All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the Worlds) of his own accord, thirty good deeds will be written for him, and thirty bad deeds will be removed from him." And that: "Take your shield." We said: "O Messenger of Allah, from an enemy that has approached?" He said: "No, rather your shield from the Hellfire. Say: Subhanallah, Al-hamdulillah, La ilaha illallah, and Allahu Akbar. For they will come on the Day of Resurrection as saviors and مقدمات (those which are brought forward), and they are the enduring good deeds."
