Does a man become forbidden to his wife merely for tasting her milk while she is breastfeeding?

A husband tasting his wife's milk does not establish prohibition (hurmah) nor does it make her forbidden to him, according to the majority of jurists. And if the husband says, "You have become forbidden to me," nothing is binding upon him if it was said in jest or due to his mistaken belief that drinking the milk causes prohibition, and he did not intend to create a prohibition.

However, if he intended to utter the word of prohibition (tahreem) but did not have a specific intention (niyyah) beyond that, then an expiation for a broken oath (kaffarat yameen) becomes binding upon him, based on the words of Allah the Almighty: "O Prophet, why do you prohibit that which Allah has made lawful for you, seeking to please your wives? And Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. Allah has already ordained for you the dissolution of your oaths; and Allah is your Protector, and He is the All-Knowing, the All-Wise."
