Is the story of Isaaf and Na'ilah authentic?

Biographers mention that the two idols, Isaf and Na’ila, were a man and a woman who met in the Kaaba and committed indecency. So, Allah transformed them into two stones. People then erected the two stones near the Kaaba for a lesson, but they were later worshipped instead of Allah during the time of Khuza'a. Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her, said: "We have always heard that Isaf and Na’ila were a man and a woman from Jurhum who committed a transgression in the Kaaba, and Allah عز وجل transformed them into two stones," which indicates that this was a widely known story among people from the pre-Islamic era, and she did not attribute it to the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him.
