"Matters concerning customs and regulations governing the work of housing cooperatives and the conditions for subscribing to them should be referred to the scholars in the questioner's country. If a person has established a right to a usufruct that is monetarily valued, he may sell it, especially if the usufruct was originally acquired with money. Just as he expended money to own it, he may take money to transfer ownership to another. It is permissible to take compensation to nullify ownership or an established right."
