Does praying Witr with Isha count as part of Qiyam al-Layl (night vigil prayer) and make the angels recognize the house, as was reported from Ka'b and Ibn al-Hajj?

There is no evidence in Islamic law that angels look down from the heavens at those who perform Tahajjud (night vigil prayer). What has been narrated from Ka'b al-Ahbar and Ibn al-Hajj in this regard holds no weight, because evidence is only found in the texts of the Quran and Sunnah. The Sunnah has indicated that reciting the Quran is a light for the servant and a treasure for him in heaven, and that angels attend the night prayer, listen to the Quran, and draw near to the worshiper. As for the time of night vigil, it begins after the 'Isha prayer and extends until the emergence of dawn, with the best time being in the last third of the night.
