What is the validity of the claim that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) derived some parts of the Holy Quran from the poems of pre-Islamic (Jahiliyyah) poets, specifically what was said about a poem by Imru' al-Qais resembling Surat Al-Qamar, and another by Al-Khansa'?

Scholars have warned against pursuing the fallacies of misguided people, fearing that they might deceive those who lack the ability to refute them. Therefore, it is not befitting for a Muslim to follow a program that slanders Islam and casts doubts on the Qur'an. Had the Qur'an been derived from poetry, the Arabs would have realized it. Allah challenged the eloquent Arabs with it, but they were unable to imitate it, which indicates that it is the word of Allah. Al-Baqillani, in "I'jaz al-Qur'an" (The Inimitability of the Qur'an), demonstrated the superiority of the Qur'anic style over Arab poetry, using the "Mu'allaqa of Imru' al-Qays" as evidence. Islamic media must support Islam and propagate its teachings.
