What are the best verses that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, recommended for relieving anxiety, depression, and sadness?
Reciting the Quran is among the greatest acts of worship and the most noble deeds. The reciter earns the reward for recitation, whether they are skilled or faltering. A Muslim must recite with contemplation, without disturbing anyone, while observing the lowering of the voice if possible, and raising it if contemplation is only achieved thereby, provided that it does not disturb those praying in the mosque. Recitation requires moving the tongue, not merely looking with the eyes. The Quran is a healing for what is in the breasts. You should recite the entire Quran, especially Al-Fatiha, Al-Mu'awwidhat (Surahs Al-Falaq and An-Nas), and Ayat Al-Kursi, and do not neglect the supplication of Yunus (peace be upon him).
