What are the rights of a wife who seeks divorce to marry another, and strives to seize the husband's apartment that he built in his parents' house?

A woman is not permitted to seek a divorce without a legitimate legal reason. If she does so, she is sinful and disobedient. The husband should strive to reconcile with her. If his efforts are unsuccessful, he should resort to the arbitration of wise people from both families, as Allah states: "And if you fear dissension between the two, send an arbitrator from his people and an arbitrator from her people. If they both desire reconciliation, Allah will cause agreement between them. Indeed, Allah is ever Knowing and Acquainted [with all things]." The husband is not obliged to divorce his wife; he has the right to refuse until she offers him financial compensation for her release. If a dispute arises regarding property, it is best to refer the matter to the judiciary.
