Is working in computer programming for a tobacco (cigarette) factory forbidden, knowing that there is a 6-month employment contract, and is there a consensus among scholars on the prohibition of cigarettes, or are they merely disliked?

Medically, the prohibition of smoking has been unequivocally established. Consequently, its cultivation, manufacturing, and trade are forbidden, based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Indeed, when Allah prohibits something, He prohibits its price." Furthermore, cooperating with its promoters and those who call for its use is forbidden in any form of assistance, because it constitutes cooperation in sin and aggression. Therefore, the questioner must leave this job and seek another one.
