Is it obligatory to fear showing off (riya') in all matters of worship and lifestyle, and can increasing religious commitment be an influence of a righteous environment rather than showing off?

Do not respond to the whispers of Satan, and continue on the path of righteousness and adherence to the Sharia. Be diligent in achieving sincerity towards Allah Almighty. Praise Allah for the righteous environment and the upright youth who assist you in obedience. Beware of abandoning obedience out of fear of ostentation (riya'), for this is from the deception of Satan. Strive to achieve sincerity and repel ostentation while maintaining obedience and not neglecting it.
