Does speaking with a woman who is not a mahram in the Haram constitute an act that necessitates expiation or something similar?

Establishing a relationship with a foreign woman, meeting her, and conversing with her is forbidden by Shariah. The sin becomes even graver in the Sacred Precincts (Haram). The expiation for this sin is to repent to Allah Almighty, resolve not to return to it, and regret what has passed. Allah forgives all sins, and He loves those who repent. It is also commendable to give charity, as it was the custom of the righteous predecessors to give charity upon falling into sin.
