What are the rulings regarding the dowry (Mahr) and deferred dowry (Mu'akhkhar), the limits of a wife's obedience, how she should be treated, and what if she refuses intimacy, along with a request for the necessary information?

The mahr (dowry) is the money the wife is entitled to from her husband upon their marriage contract or consummation. It is her obligatory right and a gift enjoined by Allah, as He says: "And give women their mahr (dowries) as a free gift." The mahr is not a condition or a pillar of the marriage contract according to the majority of jurists; rather, it is one of its effects. The contract is valid without it, based on Allah's saying: "There is no blame upon you if you divorce women before you have touched them or specified for them an obligatory provision." However, it is recommended to specify it. What is deferred from the mahr after consummation is called the deferred mahr and becomes a debt owed by the husband. It is not permissible for the wife to refuse her husband's bed except for a sensory or a legal excuse.
