Is it permissible to buy cigarettes for someone, and does the same ruling apply if a father asks for them?

It is not permissible to buy anything forbidden, such as alcohol or tobacco, for one's father, and one is not obligated to obey him in that, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "There is no obedience to a created being in disobedience to the Creator," and "Obedience is only in what is right." One should advise him and apologize to him in a good manner.
