Is obedience to a father obligatory in selling cigarettes, given his anger should they not be sold?

You must strive to be dutiful to your father and treat him with kindness within the bounds of Islamic law. If your father commands you to do something that violates the Sharia (definition), then it is obligatory to obey Allah and disregard his command, as Allah Almighty says: (But if they endeavor to make you associate with Me that of which you have no knowledge, do not obey them). Cigarettes are forbidden due to the health harms they cause and the waste of money. Means take the ruling of their ends, and whatever leads to the forbidden is itself forbidden.
