Is it permissible to perform Tarawih prayers on a plot of land adjacent to the mosque, owned by an absent individual, without his permission?

Prayer is valid on another's land. Jurists have differed on the ruling of prayer before ascertaining the landowner's permission: some have held it permissible as long as there is no usurpation or harm, others have held it impermissible, and a third group has held it to be disliked (makruh). However, if the owner's consent is neither known nor presumed, then it is forbidden.
