Is the emission of foul-smelling gas from the body a reason to skip congregational prayer?

It is disliked for someone with an offensive odor that harms worshippers to attend congregational prayer, due to the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Whoever eats from this plant should not approach our mosques until its smell is gone," and his saying: "For indeed, the angels are harmed by what harms the children of Adam." However, if he is not the cause of the smell and has not been negligent in removing it, then he is excused and may receive the reward of the congregation for his absence, as it is not by his own choice.
