Is it permissible to perfume oneself with musk while in a state of ihram?

The jurists have agreed on the prohibition of perfume for the pilgrim in the state of ihram, but they differed regarding perfume before ihram. The majority of jurists went to the opinion that it is recommended to perfume the body before ihram, even if the scent remains afterwards, and this is the most preponderant opinion. As for perfuming the garment before ihram, the majority of jurists prohibited it, while Al-Shafi'i permitted it.
